Machinery Sheds
Bairnsdale Engineering:
Machinery Sheds
Farm and industrial machinery represent a significant investment, and protecting that equipment from the elements helps maintain its condition, reliability, and value over the long term.
Bairnsdale Engineering designs and manufactures custom machinery sheds to suit the specific requirements of your operation. Whether you need storage for tractors, harvesters, earthmoving equipment, trucks, or workshop facilities, we can tailor a solution to suit your machinery, site layout, and operational needs.
Our machinery shed frames are manufactured from hot-rolled universal beam (UB) steel, with heavy-duty connection plates factory-welded to rafters and columns for strength, durability, and efficient installation. For maximum longevity in demanding agricultural and industrial environments, we recommend hot-dip galvanising the columns and rafters to provide superior corrosion resistance.
Large clear spans, wide openings, and flexible design options allow easy access for modern machinery while maximising usable floor space. A well-designed machinery shed helps protect valuable equipment from weather exposure, reducing deterioration and helping maintain its condition over the long term.
Since 1976, Bairnsdale Engineering has been designing and manufacturing robust machinery sheds built for Australian farms.

Client Outcome
Bowdens Ag is an established agricultural contracting business based in Yarram, providing professional contracting services across a 100km radius since the late 1980s. As the company’s fleet expanded, additional undercover storage became
essential, both for protecting valuable machinery and maintaining the clean, organised presentation expected of a professional operation.
Bairnsdale Engineering designed and constructed a
60m x 21m span machinery shed, completed in February 2025. The structure was tailored to accommodate modern agricultural equipment and provide efficient, safe access and storage.
I'm a boiler maker by trade so I know a bit about steel. The construction and the engineering were done properly. Bairnsdale Engineering was fantastic to deal with. I'd highly recommend anyone considering a shed to give them a call.
