Installing a cover over your stockyards helps to make animal handling safer and more humane. All year protection from the harsh Australian elements can help increase the productivity and efficiency of your enterprise.

A yard cover provides protection for stock and workers in extreme weather. It prevents the ground from pugging in heavy rainfall and helps to reduce heat stress in stock.

Crushes, electrical and pneumatic equipment will deteriorate in harsh conditions. A cover can help increase the longevity of your equipment thus saving you capital.

At Bairnsdale Engineering, we manufacture stockyard cover frames from RHS (Rectangular Hollow Section), CHS (circular hollow section) or UBs (Universal Beams) with connection plates factory-welded to rafters and columns for superior strength and ease of installation. We would highly recommend hot-dipped galvanized coated columns for ultimate corrosion resistance.

Bairnsdale Engineering can custom build stockyard covers to suit the design of our customer’s current layout and these can be installed over existing infrastructure.
