Feed Pad Covers

Installing a cover over your feed pad can help to effectively manage supplementary feeding. Keeping the feed out of the weather can help to minimise waste and can help to prevent paddocks from pugging, especially during wet weather.

Bairnsdale Engineering’s feed pad covers are manufactured from hot-rolled UB and CHS frames with factory-welded connection plates for superior strength and ease of installation. Circular hollow section posts can be incorporated into the design especially where there is a high flow of cattle. The smooth round surface of the CHS columns can help prevent bruising in stock as there are no edges. Wall bracing can also be eliminated where round posts are installed, thus allowing for easy herd and machinery access.

We highly recommend hot dip galvanizing the frame for ultimate rust resistance in the corrosive environment.

Bairnsdale Engineering’s large clear spans help allow for safe and easy access for vehicles and animals.

No regrets! The ventilation gaps and the steeper roof pitch work really well. Have had the calves in the shed for 10 weeks now and there is no smell. Was wary about rain coming in the ridge vent but it was pouring down the other day and it was completely dry inside. Very happy calves!
