Performaflow® custom gutters are a performance solution system that the design and development team at Bairnsdale Engineering has created. The idea behind the Performaflow® system is to have a much bigger gutter capacity in order to reduce the number of downpipes required.
The gutters for each job are calculated according to the rainfall data of the shed site. The design team runs the sums on the size and amount of downpipes required and liaises with the client to find the best locations. The gutters are then designed to have the downpipes as close as possible to the desired point of discharge. A common option clients choose is to have the gutters running towards one end of the shed where a tank or dam is located.
Performaflow® gutters can be tapered to increase the flow of the water forcing it to discharge quicker into the downpipe. This can help to clear some leaf build up helping to reduce blockages.
Custom calculated rainheads can reduce the diameter of the downpipe. A rainhead helps build up pressure in the downpipe forcing it to work more efficiently.
