Stockyard Cover – Buchan

Building size: 17m (2x 7m bays + overhangs) long x 12m wide x 4m high

This stockyard cover was custom designed to be incorporated with the existing yard infrastructure. Footings were installed first and the fame was fabricated to suit the footing layout and heights on site.

The circular hollow section columns were implemented in this design to eliminate the need to wall bracing which may impede on stock areas. The round posts can also help to prevent bruising in cattle when they brush against the columns as they have no sharp edges.
