This stockyard cover was custom designed to be incorporated with the existing yard infrastructure. Footings were installed prior to the frame being fabricated to suit the footing locations and levels on site – ensuring a seamless integration.
The circular hollow section columns were incorporated in this design to eliminate the need to wall bracing which may impede on stock areas. The round posts can also help to prevent bruising in cattle when they brush against the columns as they have no sharp edges.
The universal beam rafter simplified the design by allowing the columns to located anywhere up or down the length of the rafter – providing weather protection where the roof overhangs.
The skillion roof allows for storm water to drain to one side of the cattle yard cover eliminating interfering downpipes in the pens.
