Beef Stockyard Cover to Suit Existing Yards

This stockyard cover was custom designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing yard infrastructure. Footings were installed on site prior to fabrication, allowing the frame to be manufactured precisely to suit the confirmed footing locations and levels. This approach ensured accurate alignment and a smooth installation process, resulting in a seamless integration to the existing facility.

Circular hollow section (CHS) columns were selected for the structure to eliminate the need for wall bracing that could otherwise intrude into stock areas. This design maintains clear movement zones within the yards. The shape of the round post can also reduce the risk of bruising in cattle when they brush against the columns.

The universal beam rafter simplifies the structural design and maximises flexibility. This system allows columns to be positioned anywhere along the length of the rafter, enabling strategic placement to suit yard layouts while creating generous roof overhangs for improved weather protection.

The skillion roof design directs stormwater to one side of the structure, removing the need for downpipes within the pens. This reduces maintenance and minimises interference within the working areas.

The result is a practical, stock-friendly solution that enhances durability, functionality and overall yard performance
